A Syndicated Dog is a dog registered on the Main Register and co owned by a syndicate of members [see VCA Rule 2.13 (.pdf)]. Each member of the syndicate must be a financial member of an ANKC recognised canine controlling body.
If the Syndicated Dog is housed in Victoria then the nominee of the syndicate must be a DOGS Victoria member.
The syndicate must notify DOGS Victoria of the nominee, and that nominee shall sign all documents on behalf of the syndicate, other than the transfer of ownership of the Syndicated Dog which must be signed by all syndicate members.
Where an entry is submitted for a Syndicated Dog, the entry form must show the names of all owners and their membership numbers. Separate fees and charges are applicable.
Members are reminded of Regulations 7.4.3.
Breeding
The nominee shall sign the Declaration by the Owner of the Sire/Semen on the Application for Litter Registration form unless otherwise stipulate in conditions of syndicate.
Any litter whelped from a Syndicated Dog (bitch) shall be registered against the nominee's prefix unless the contractual arrangements notified under VCA Rule 2.13.2 specify otherwise. Note that litters may only be registered against an exisiting prefix held by an individual or dual membership; VCA Rules do not provide for a syndicate to register a syndicate prefix.
